Orpheus Brewing Company presents Chamber Cartel in a performance of Mark Z. Danielewski's "The Fifty Year Sword." This modern day ghost story, the chilling tale of a fateful night in East Texas, is a rarely performed work, with spoken lines that weave in and out of each other like a Beckett play. The story, which takes place in an orphanage during the course of one night, is recounted by Chintana, a seamstress "who bears witness as a caped Story Teller recites a saga of revenge, harrowing quest, and a terrible sword." Speakers for this performance are Caleb Herron, Natalie Kachadurian, Ed Hall, Lee Furey and James Sanders.
